‘SPN’ Nominated for 2nd GLAAD Media Award

GLAAD, the gay and lesbian alliance against defamation, has announced its nominees for the 2014 GLAAD Media Awards, and Supernatural is on the list!

The show is nominated for Outstanding Individual Episode (of a show not featuring a regular LGBT character). The episode in question is season 8’s “LARP and the Real Girl,” in which lesbian hacker Charlie Bradbury fell in love with a fairy.

It’s actually the second time Supernatural has been nominated for this award. In 2009, the “Ghostfacers” episode was also nominated due to Harry and Ed discovering “how gay love can pierce through the veil of death and save the day.”

This year the show competes against episodes of The Soul Man, Drop Dead Diva, Elementary and Necessary Roughness.

  1. Drop Dead Diva is still on the air?

  2. Charlie is a good character. Hope they win, that’ll mean more exposure, which means more Supernatural.
