Jeffrey Dean Morgan demonstrated his talent and versatility as an actor on three popular television series in 2006.

He played the recurring role of, 'Denny Duquette,' on ABC and Touchstone Television's Grey's Anatomy. The character died in the season finale on May 15, 2006. There was an outpouring of grief from the show's fans, leading to Denny's reappearance in a 3 story arc in February/March 2007.

Jeffrey also played 'John Winchester,' the now deceased father of brothers Dean and Sam Winchester (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki) on the CW's hit show Supernatural. He re appeared, in the two part season 2 finale, and according to Eric Kripke, Supernatural’s creator, his return in season three depends on Jeffrey's increasingly busy schedule.

He has also appeared in flashback and fantasy sequences as 'Judah Botwin', the deceased husband of Mary Louise Parker's character, in Weeds. It is his untimely death that forces the newly single mom to resort to selling marijuana to make a living in suburban Los Angeles.

On the feature film front, Jeffrey has made a number of films in the past few months. Jeffrey's currently project (April 2007) is Day's of Wrath, also starring Lawrence Fishburne. He plays a TV producer determined to milk ratings from gang related riots.

Also to be filmed in 2007 is Helen, with Gillian Anderson. This is the story of a University professor, Helen Leonard (Anderson), and her struggle with clinical depression. Jeffrey is cast as David, Helen's husband who attempts to support her, despite the difficulties her disease imposes on therm as a couple.

In February, 2007, Jeffrey finished shooting The Accidental Husband with Uma Thurman and Colin Firth.

In the fall of 2006 he played 'William' in P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler.


Just released (April, 2007) at the Tribeca Film Festival is Live! with Eva Mendez.

Soon to debut are the independent office comedy, Kabluey, and The Adventures of Beatle Boyin .

The actor's previous television credits include CBS' The Handler and the lead role in UPN's The Burning Zone, as well as guest appearances on The O.C., Monk, Angel, Tru Calling and Star Trek: Enterprise.


In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys barbecuing on the grill, reading, watching movies and listening to his favorite band, The Eagles. The Seattle native also loves to root for his home team, the Seattle Seahawks. He currently resides in Los Angeles. His long time canine companion is Bisou (French for "kiss") Morgan, a nine year old Rottweiler mix that Jeffrey hand raised from a few days old puppy.
